Salah Tracker ("the app", "we") is a free Muslim prayer-tracking app: prayer times, a prayer tracker, Qibla compass, and azkār. This policy explains what data the app handles. We've designed it to keep your data on your device.
The following is saved locally on your device and is not sent to us or anyone else:
You can erase all of it at any time by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.
With your permission, the app reads your device location to calculate accurate prayer times for your area and determine the Qibla direction. This happens on your device. Your location is not uploaded to us or stored on any server we control. If you deny location permission, prayer-time and Qibla features may not work, but the rest of the app still does.
The app is free and is supported by ads served through Google AdMob. To show ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process certain information, including a mobile advertising identifier and general device information, and (in some regions) approximate location derived from your IP address. This data is processed by Google in accordance with its policies:
Consent (EEA/UK): If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you will be shown a consent choice (via Google's UMP) about personalized ads before ads are personalized. You can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads on Android).
If you enable prayer reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device for prayer times. These are generated on-device; no notification data is sent to a server.
The app is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because your personal app data lives on your device, you control it directly: delete it by clearing the app's data or uninstalling. For questions about ad data, use the Google links above.
We may update this policy; the "Effective date" above will reflect the latest version.
